Description:

We are seeking a proactive and detail-oriented Logistics Specialist to lead and manage logistics operations across the Australasian region for a global manufacturing organisation. This is a critical role that ensures the efficient movement of goods across international and domestic channels, supporting business objectives and enhancing customer satisfaction.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Manage international and domestic freight to ensure timely, cost-effective delivery
  • Source and evaluate freight quotes across air, sea, and inland transport
  • Oversee 3PL operations, including inbound/outbound logistics and ASN management
  • Maintain accurate shipment data and ETAs in ERP systems (preferably D365)
  • Design and implement logistics strategies to reduce total landed costs
  • Drive inventory accuracy through cycle counts and compliance with standards
  • Resolve logistics-related customer issues, including damage and delivery delays
  • Identify cost-saving opportunities in warehousing, freight, and tariffs
  • Support global teams with process documentation, training, and continuous improvement initiatives

Requirements:

The Successful Applicant:

You're a logistics professional with a strong foundation in supply chain operations and a passion for driving efficiency. With at least 3 years' experience in a manufacturing or technical environment, you bring a deep understanding of freight forwarding, 3PL coordination, and end-to-end logistics management.

You have:

  • Tertiary qualifications in Logistics, Business, Engineering, or a related field
  • Hands-on experience with ERP systems-Microsoft Dynamics D365 is a plus
  • A proven track record in developing logistics processes, documentation, and training
  • Excellent communication and negotiation skills, with the ability to build strong internal and external relationships
  • A strategic mindset, combined with attention to detail and practical problem-solving skills
  • You thrive in a collaborative, fast-paced environment and take ownership of your work-always looking for ways to optimise, streamline, and improve.
