RD Williams Machinery is a leading supplier of Civil and Mining Earth Moving equipment. We are looking to add a qualified Diesel Fitter and a hands-on Leading Hand to work with our workshop team.
We are offering competitive pay commensurate with experience, good working hours Monday to Friday, and a central work location (Rocklea, minimal travel) to help give a great work/life balance.
Workshop Leading Hand
The workshop is a fundamental part of our business and ensures incoming machines are checked over upon arrival and brought up to required specifications prior to being delivered to our customers. Leading by example and working side by side with a small team of fitters, you will utilise efficient processes and set the standard for quality and safety, using both your technical knowledge and people management skills.
A diesel fitter background with experience on Caterpillar, Komatsu, Volvo and other Earth Moving machinery is essential. You will be capable with diagnostic tools, as well as be able to guide and instruct your team and supporting contractors.
You will be managing workshop jobs from start to finish, including ordering parts, maximising the efficiency of your Team, through quality checks to despatch of the machine.
Diesel Fitter
We are also seeking a qualified Diesel Fitter with at least a few years' experience on Earth Moving Equipment. This is a Workshop position (not field service).
A Diesel Fitting or Automotive Mechanic qualification is essential, as is a current LF Forklift license.
