Description:

The Senior Local Resolution Officer will assist parties to find pathways to locally resolve health care service complaints within legislative and operational timeframes utilising a range of simple and quick dispute resolution strategies.

In This Role You Will

  • Deliver simple and quick dispute resolution processes.
  • Support local resolution of healthcare service complaints where there is reasonable likelihood that resolution is possible.
  • Support negotiations between the complainant and the relevant healthcare service provider and assist other case officers in the conduct of the negotiations, where appropriate.
  • Assist with the resolution of the complaint in any other way as directed.
  • Assist with effective operational coordination, leadership and completion of delegated case management actions as directed by the Principal Resolution Officer to ensure the Local Resolution team supports the OHO to meet its strategic objectives and legislative requirements.
  • Assist in the skills development of team members by providing coaching and mentoring.
  • Strive to achieve timely and efficient resolutions to healthcare service complaints in line with operational and legislative targets.
  • Work in collaboration with the Local Resolution team to deliver timely and satisfactory results.
  • Maximise effectiveness and efficiency in the resolution of healthcare service complaints by providing feedback to health service providers to promote improved health service delivery.
  • Assist in the development, review, and implementation of relevant policies and procedures.
