The Opportunity
We are currently seeking a highly motivated, strategic, and experienced Manager of National Sales – Public Resuscitation (Public Safety) to lead and drive the growth of our public access defibrillation and public safety portfolio across Australia and This role is offered as a 12-month fixed-term maternity leave cover, with the potential for extension.
In this key leadership role, you will be responsible for developing and executing the national sales strategy, overseeing a team of Territory Managers and Account Executives, driving business development, managing key stakeholder relationships, and ensuring ZOLL remains a trusted partner in public resuscitation and emergency preparedness.

Key Responsibilities

Strategic Sales Leadership

Develop, lead, and execute a robust national sales strategy tailored to the unique dynamics of the ANZ public safety and community health landscape.

Identify market opportunities and establish clear sales priorities, aligning with ZOLL’s global and regional objectives.

Create and manage strategic account plans that ensure long-term customer engagement, retention, and revenue growth.

Team Management & Coaching

Lead a passionate and high-performing national sales team, fostering a culture of collaboration, accountability, innovation, and customer excellence.

coach, mentor, and develop team members through regular feedback, structured performance reviews, and personal development plans.

Set and monitor individual and team KPIs, driving high levels of engagement and results.

Business Development & Customer Engagement

Expand ZOLL’s presence in the public safety and public access defibrillation market, working with ZOLL’s Business Partners to develop and grow partnerships with:

Government agencies

Local councils

Law enforcement and emergency services

Schools, universities, and sports organisations

Transport and infrastructure authorities

Large commercial organisations and retail networks

Respond to and manage public tenders, procurement processes, and high-value negotiations.

Collaborate closely with marketing to implement awareness campaigns, education initiatives, and advocacy programs.

Cross-functional Collaboration

Work in partnership with key internal stakeholders including Marketing, Clinical Affairs, Regulatory, Operations, Finance, and Legal to ensure seamless customer experience and business continuity.

Represent the ANZ Public Safety business in regional and global forums, contributing insights and helping to shape future innovations and go-to-market strategies.

Reporting & Forecasting

Provide accurate and timely sales reporting, forecasting, and performance metrics to senior leadership.

Monitor sales pipelines, track trends, and proactively identify risks or gaps in execution.

Maintain high standards of CRM discipline and compliance.
Qualifications & Experience
-
Minimum 8 years of progressive experience in sales or business development, ideally in healthcare, medical devices, or emergency services sectors.

At least 3 years of experience leading and managing sales teams across multi-region or national markets.

Demonstrated success in driving revenue growth, capturing new markets, and managing complex procurement and stakeholder landscapes.

Deep understanding of the public safety sector, including government and council procurement pathways, emergency services, and community health networks.

Excellent communication, negotiation, and presentation skills.

Strong analytical and strategic thinking capabilities, with a results-oriented approach.

Bachelor’s degree in business, Health Sciences, Public Health, or related field; MBA or postgraduate qualifications are advantageous.

Willingness to travel extensively across Australia and New Zealand.
