The Opportunity

Come and discover the opportunity to join our Osbourne Park team as a Customer Service Representative . Made in Australia since 1921, Fielders manufactures and markets steel building products that have helped shape the nation: from iconic corrugated roofing over Australian homes, to large commercial and industrial projects.

Our customer centric team at Fielders has a passion for service, they represent the face of the business and always have the customer at the heart of everything they do. In this role, you will leverage your experience and eagerness to learn to actively support the team. You’ll manage and respond to internal and external customer enquiries, building strong relationships through positive interactions, phone calls and email correspondence. As a self-motivated and quick-thinking individual, you’ll thrive in dynamic environments and excel at multitasking.

This is a Monday to Friday role, working a 38-hour week.

No prior steel industry experience is necessary. We welcome candidates from diverse backgrounds who are passionate about delivering exceptional customer service.

What Will You Do?

This position offers variety and opportunity for an enthusiastic team player who thrives in a busy workplace. Alongside general sales and customer service responsibilities, your duties will include:

  • interacting with our customers via phone and email managing quotes and queries
  • following up on quotations and inquiries converting these into sales opportunities
  • collaborating with internal stakeholders including marketing, warehouse and sales departments to ensure customer expectations and requirements are met - including product specifications, special packaging, and delivery timetable
  • continuously look at new ways of improving the customer experience and consistently improving the total value proposition
  • provide internal support and regular feedback to relevant sales teams regarding customer and competitor information
