South Burnett Regional Council is one of the largest employers within the region, with offices and depots located in Kingaroy, Nanango, Wondai, Murgon, Proston and Blackbutt.

Council is comprised of three (3) Departments: Executive Services, Finance & Liveability, and Infrastructure. About the Region

The South Burnett Region is ideally situated just 2 - 3 hours' drive to Brisbane, Toowoomba, Sunshine Coast and Fraser Coast. About the roles

  • Based in Kingaroy

  • Permanent Full Time

  • $66K- $69K per annum + Allowances + Super

Council is seeking an officer to provide professional administrative services which support the effective and efficient operation of the Facilities, Parks and NRM branch. The role will assist in the delegation and action of customer requests and complaints and escalation, monitoring progress and record outcomes in Council’s corporate systems. Coordinate minor repair and maintenance activities for Council parks and facilities and ensure contract management services are provided as per maintenance schedules. The successful applicant will have relevant experience in an administrative role providing a high level of customer service in a busy environment with sound organisational skills with the ability to establish work priorities, complete assigned tasks within required standards and meet deadlines.

Mandatory Qualifications

  • Minimum requirement of a current C Class driver’s licence

Desirable Qualifications

  • Certificate III in Business Administration

Skills and experience

  1. Relevant experience in an administrative role providing a high level of customer service in a busy environment.

  2. Sound organisational skills with the ability to establish work priorities, complete assigned tasks within required standards and meet deadlines.

  3. Sound interpersonal skills with the ability to communicate effectively to build and maintain relationships at all levels.

  4. Sound computer skills including sound knowledge of the MS Office Suite and corporate software systems.

  5. Ability to work effectively in a team environment.
