We are seeking an experienced Programme Director / Delivery Lead to oversee and coordinate the successful delivery of a high-impact financial crime transformation programme. This strategic leadership role will focus on aligning complex workstreams across the organisation, ensuring effective governance, and driving outcomes that support both internal operational efficiency and external regulatory compliance.
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop and manage the overall integrated programme plan to ensure timely and successful delivery of outcomes
- Simplify and standardise delivery practices across the programme, aligning with established delivery frameworks
- Foster consistent and effective ways of working across all teams to improve alignment, momentum, and decision-making
- Lead programme-level financial management in collaboration with the Finance division
- Oversee programme governance, reporting, and stakeholder engagement across senior leadership
- Manage programme change controls within agreed trade-offs, constraints, and risk tolerances
- Monitor and track overall programme delivery, including progress and status updates
- Consolidate and manage all programme dependencies, risks, and issues
- Lead and influence a matrix delivery team comprising internal delivery and project leads, ensuring strategic alignment and a strong focus on delivering exceptional experiences for both employees and customers
- Extensive experience (10+ years) in leading large-scale, complex transformation programmes, preferably within the financial services or banking sector
- Strong background in financial crime, risk, compliance, or regulatory change programmes
- Proven track record in programme governance, financial oversight, and stakeholder engagement at senior leadership level
- Deep understanding of delivery frameworks (e.g. Agile, PRINCE2, MSP) and experience in implementing delivery standards across large initiatives
- Demonstrated ability to lead matrix teams and influence cross-functional stakeholders
- Excellent communication, negotiation, and leadership skills
- Relevant tertiary qualifications in business, project management, or a related field (e.g. MBA or equivalent advantageous)
- Professional certifications such as PMP, MSP, or Agile delivery qualifications are highly regarded
