The Role
We are seeking a full-time Chef de Partie to join our skilled and passionate kitchen team. This position plays a key role in delivering consistent, high-quality dishes for our members, guests, and event clientele. The ideal candidate will have strong experience in commercial cookery, a team mindset, and a keen eye for detail.
Key Responsibilities
- Prepare and present high-quality dishes across a la carte, event, and function menus.
- Manage your section efficiently, ensuring mise en place is complete and service runs smoothly.
- Work collaboratively with the Sous Chef and Head Chef to maintain consistency and creativity.
- Maintain strict hygiene and food safety standards in all kitchen operations.
- Train and mentor junior staff where needed.
- Assist with stock rotation, inventory control, and ordering.
Skills and Experience
- Minimum of 2 years’ experience in a commercial kitchen, ideally in a similar role.
- Tertiary Commercial Cookery (or equivalent).
- Excellent food preparation and plating skills with a focus on quality and consistency.
- Good understanding of food safety regulations and HACCP principles.
- Strong communication skills and the ability to work in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment.
- Willingness to work flexible shifts, including weekends and public holidays.
