Senior Test Analyst

The Role:
We're on the lookout for a self-sufficient and technically adept Senior Test Analyst to join our fast-paced Tech division. In this hands-on role, you’ll work with developers to test microservices, cloud-hosted components, and CI/CD pipelines. You’ll take the lead on test planning, execution and mentoring junior testers to uplift capability across the team.

Your New Team:
You’ll be joining a collaborative and agile testing team based in Toowong, working closely with developers and business stakeholders. Key Responsibilities:

• Represent testing in all delivery workshops from concept to go-live

• Collaborate across the E2E team to define acceptance criteria, risks and estimates

• Lead creation of test plans, test strategies and traceability matrices

• Design, plan and execute test cases covering functional and non-functional testing

• Conduct regression testing and maintain regression suites

• Report on test progress, defects, and outcomes

• Support production deployments and provide out-of-hours testing where needed

• Mentor Test Analysts and share expertise in best practice testing techniques

• Actively contribute to the Testing Community of Practice

Qualifications & Experience:

• ISTQB Certified

• 5+ years’ experience in software testing

• Solid understanding of microservices, CI/CD pipelines (Bamboo preferred), and cloud fundamentals

• Demonstrated experience supporting junior testers and uplifting test capability

• Proficient in testing microservices and services hosted across multiple platforms

• Experience with containerisation, automation testing and resource optimisation

• Strong communication skills and the ability to engage with cross-functional teams

• Comfortable working in Agile environments and adapting to changing priorities

• Self-starter mindset with a willingness to learn and mentor others

• A degree in Information Technology or a related field is desirable
