ABOUT THE ROLE
Prace College is seeking an experienced and dedicated Wellbeing Coordinator to provide wellbeing interventions and student support at our Reservoir campus. This is a full-time, ongoing position.
You will be part of a dynamic team passionate about helping students to achieve their goals through education. The role requires a dedicated professional to provide impactful and adaptive wellbeing services. This role utilises a variety of interventions designed to foster resilience and overall wellbeing, while also overseeing the coordination of wellbeing resources throughout the campus site.
Responsibilities and duties will include:
Leadership
Wellbeing support
Teamwork and collaboration
Administration, record-keeping and reporting
Child safety
As a multi-campus school, travel to and between campuses can be expected.
Prace College is an Independent Specialist School that provides supportive, flexible and inclusive education to meet the needs of at-risk young people, and supports them to re-engage with and participate in learning, community and work activities. We are a not-for-profit organisation.
ABOUT YOU
Qualifications and experience:
-Graduate qualification in Social Work, Youth Work, or a related discipline.
-Extensive experience supporting vulnerable young people, with a deep understanding of trauma's impact on development and educational engagement, and knowledge of factors leading to disengagement and its relationship with wellbeing.
-Extensive experience working with adolescents, helping them reconnect with education or secure employment, while understanding the complexities of adolescent development and skillfully de-escalating situations of personal distress.
