Salary: $94,517.56 to $103,567.10 pa + 11.5% super + Council Leaseback vehicle or vehicle allowance

About the Role:
Liverpool City Council has an exciting opportunity for a self-motivated and enthusiastic Environmental Health Officer to be part of a dynamic team responsible for protecting, promoting and enhancing public health standards within the Liverpool Local Government area.
The successful applicant will be required to undertake regulatory inspections under relevant environmental health legislation. Key functions of this position include but are not limited to compliance inspections of food premises, skin penetration premises, hairdressers, swimming and spa pools and investigations of public health complaints and assessment.
The successful applicant will have:
Bachelor of Natural Science (Environmental Health) or equivalent;
Working knowledge of relevant legislation associated with environmental health including the Local Government Act 1993, Food Act 2003, Public Health Act 2010, Protection of the Environmental Operations Act 1997 and regulations there under.
Experience in the investigation, monitoring and inspection of premises to ensure compliance with health and environmental standards
Strong written and verbal communication and customer service skills
