Delaware North Australia is hiring a full-time Painter to join our team on a 6-month contract at Mindil Beach Casino Resort, the ultimate entertainment destination in the Northern Territory. What you will do?
- Apply paint, including special systems, to walls, furniture, and structures
- Prepare surfaces for painting by removing old paint through blasting, scraping, sanding, or steam cleaning
- Maintain and inspect painted surfaces, including walls, trim, and fixtures, ensuring proper upkeep and refurbishment
- Perform wood finishing and patching as needed, including applying wallpaper, plasterboard, fabric, and other materials to walls
- Manage paint supplies and materials, including ordering and matching paint samples for touch-ups and repairs
More about you
- Industry experience post trade as a painter, plasterer experience also advantageous
- Sound understanding of painting techniques and methodology of painting and construction
- Proficient in the use of power tools, battery, and all hand tools that relate to maintenance tasks
- Proven experience liaising with internal and external stakeholders
- Ability to work the occasional weekend when required
