Description:
Reservoir RSL is currently seeking an experienced, talented and passionate Head Chef to join their kitchen team. Reporting to the General Manager you will be responsible for the day to day running of the kitchen and you will be encouraged to use your creative flair to help bring our Bistro to the next level.
This is a hands-on leadership role perfect for someone who is looking for a new challenge and wanting to be part of a small and dedicated team.
Key Responsibilities of this role
· Ability to oversee the day-to-day kitchen operations and coordinate the kitchen team
· Ability to abide by all Food Safety Standards and OHS regulations in relation to food preparation, food storage and receiving of stock so the club remains compliant.
· Ensure food quality and presentation standards remain consistent
· Monitor and manage food and labour costs to meet budgetary targets
· Collaborate with management to execute functions, events and menu promotions
· Liaise with suppliers and manage inventory including ordering and stock rotation
· Be responsible for completing monthly stocktakes and reporting food wastages through the correct reporting channels
· Develop seasonal menus in conjunction with the rest of the kitchen team adhering to budgetary requirements
· Training and the development of team members – setting clear expectations and coaching them for growth
· Ability to develop and foster a positive and collaborative work environment
About You
· Must have full Australian working rights as it is a Full-Time position being offered
· A passion for cooking western food
· Must have a Certificate 3 in Commercial Cookery
· Must have a current Food Safety Supervisor Certificate
· Demonstrated experience as a Head Chef
· Ability to enforce Food Safety Standards
· Excellent attention to detail
· Excellent communication Skills and leadership skills
· Ability to troubleshoot and resolve issues
· Ability to work well under pressure
