The City of Karratha is looking for an enthusiastic Asset Systems Officer to join our Financial Services team on a 2 year fixed term basis.
Reporting to the Senior Asset Accounting Officer, this role supports the development, maintenance, and improvement of the City’s asset data and management systems.
You’ll play a key role in ensuring the accuracy and usability of asset information, enabling informed decision-making across the organisation.
Key Responsibilities
• Maintain and enhance the City’s Asset Management System
• Assist with system configuration, procurement, and training
• Perform technical analysis to support asset plans and long-term capital works
• Improve data integrity and collection procedures
• Support annual asset revaluations and GIS data management
• Contribute to budgets using asset data insights
About You
You'll be someone who has:
• Experience in asset management, financial accounting, or GIS
• Strong analytical, organisational, and record- keeping skills
• Proficiency with asset management systems and data analysis tools
• Excellent communication and stakeholder engagement skills
• Qualifications and/or 2+ years’ experience in a similar role
• Current C Class Driver’s Licence
• National Police Clearance (within 6 months)
Desirable
• Experience with A-SPEC Specification Suite
• Knowledge of local government asset practices
