We are seeking compassionate and dedicated individuals to join our team as Disability Support Workers. In this role, you will provide support and assistance to individuals with disabilities, enabling them to live their best lives. Your primary responsibility will be to ensure the well-being, independence, and inclusion of our clients by offering personalised care and promoting their physical, emotional, and social development. This position requires individuals who can work upwards of 25 hours per week within a structured 24/7 roster system.

Responsibilities:
1. Provide direct support to individuals with disabilities in their daily activities according to their individualised care plans.
2. Assist clients with personal care tasks such as bathing, dressing, grooming, eating, toileting, etc.
3. Promote independent living skills by encouraging clients' participation in household chores and self-care routines.
4. Implement therapeutic programs or interventions designed by healthcare professionals.
5. Foster social interaction among clients by organising recreational activities or outings within the community.
6. Monitor client's overall health status regularly; report any changes or concerns promptly.
7. Administer medications accurately following prescribed guidelines (if required) under appropriate supervision.
8. Maintain documentation regarding client progress notes accurately for evaluation purposes.
9. Collaborate effectively with other team members including healthcare professionals involved in the client's care plan.
Qualifications:
1. Relevant qualifications in disability support, or willingness to work towards this qualification.
2. Prior experience working directly with people with disabilities is preferred but not mandatory; we welcome candidates who demonstrate genuine interest in supporting individuals with special needs through volunteer work or personal experiences.
3. Strong commitment towards upholding the rights, dignity, and privacy of individuals with disabilities.
4. Ability to work independently as well as part of a team.
5. A valid driver's license is preferred (if community transportation is required).
