What You'll Be Doing:
As a Disability Support Worker, your role will be varied, rewarding and impactful. You will:
• Provide compassionate, person-centred care: Deliver hands-on support tailored to the unique needs of individuals, ensuring their well-being and promoting their independence.
• Assist with daily living activities: Support clients with personal care tasks such as bathing, dressing, grooming, eating, etc. with the utmost respect for dignity and privacy.
• Encourage self-sufficiency and independence: Empower clients to participate in their lives by supporting involvement in organising activities, household responsibilities and self-care routines, fostering a sense of achievement and confidence.
• Promote social inclusion: Engage in recreational activities and outings, enabling clients to engage with their community and build meaningful relationships.
• Monitor health and well-being: Promptly report any concerns or changes in clients’ condition to ensure they receive the best care.
• Administer medications: Follow prescribed guidelines and ensure accurate medication administration under appropriate supervision, where required.

• Problem-solving and adaptability: An ability to think critically and adjust to the changing needs of clients in a dynamic work environment.
• Relevant qualifications in disability support (or willingness to work towards this qualification): MAP is committed to investing in your ongoing professional development.
• Experience in supporting people with disabilities: Whether professional or personal, we value those who have demonstrated dedication to making a positive impact.
• A valid driver’s license: Essential for transport and client outings. (Can you drive a manual car? Bonus!)
• Accredited medication administration training (or willingness to obtain)
• PEG feeding experience (or willingness to learn)
The Role:
This is a Part time or Casual Role requiring a commitment of 20+ hours per week. Working within a 24/7 well-structured roster system, meaning a variety of shifts, allowing for both consistency and flexibility in your schedule.
