The Role:
The Project Implementation Officer (PIO) is responsible for developing, managing, and continuously refining project management methodologies and frameworks. Leveraging extensive experience in project implementation and management, the PIO ensures that systems, tools, and processes align with the organisation’s evolving needs.
- Develop and maintain project schedules, ensuring timely and efficient delivery of deliverables
- Provide project management and support services, including monitoring progress, preparing reports, maintaining documentation, and implementing project plans to ensure outcomes are met on time, on budget, and within scope
- Monitor and track project progress, escalating identified issues
- Ensure necessary approvals are in place to facilitate smooth project progress
- Prepare and maintain project documentation for reporting, monitoring, and evaluation to ensure quality information access and contribute to project success
- Communicate with stakeholders, providing requested information to support working groups, committees, and consultations
- Assist in developing project briefs, plans, and documentation, considering organization-wide resource allocation
- Comply with management directions and act within delegated authority
Key Attributes: To excel in this role, you will bring:
- Advanced knowledge of project management frameworks and methodologies
- Strong communication skills, able to clarify complex technical information
- Excellent organisational and time management skills
- High-level relationship management skills, managing stakeholder expectations
- 5+ years of experience in project management and providing technical support for projects
