Are you a Senior Occupational Therapist looking to make a difference in Southern Adelaide's local community?
Working as a part of the Outer South Community Mental Health multi-disciplinary team, the Senior Occupational Therapist undertakes complex Occupational Therapy and mental health specific service provision. As the Senior Occupational Therapist, you will be actively involved in clinical leadership responsibilities within the team and the disciplinary group and provide professional supervision to designated staff and students.
About the role:
As the Senior Occupational Therapist, you will apply specialised expertise to the development, delivery and continuous improvement of quality clinical work and provide discipline specific assessments, interventions and consultancy service to the team.
Duties for the role will include:
- Providing mental health discipline specific assessments and interventions to enhance consumer’s living skills, functional and occupational capacity.
- Providing occupational therapy assessments for community support needs/services.
- Identifying consumer’s occupational barriers to occupational performance and promoting the provision of strengths-based recovery approaches in the delivery of services.
- Implementing and evaluating the impact of a range of therapeutic interventions.
About you:
- Ability to provide clinical leadership within a multidisciplinary team.
- Ability to be flexible, adaptable and innovative in a changing workplace.
- Clinical experience in the provision of evidence based mental health Occupational Therapy assessments and interventions.
- Appropriate Degree or equivalent qualification which entitles registration as an Occupational Therapist with the Occupational Therapy Board of Australia.
