The Opportunity:
As part of our People and Culture team, you will be responsible for supporting the day to day human resource functions and activities for UNE Partnerships. You will be involved in end-to-end recruitment, developing HR policies and procedures and maintaining accurate employee records.
This position plays a key role in supporting our staff through the employee lifecycle in a way that creates a positive experience for both new and existing employees.
- Part-time, permanent (approx. 20-25 hours per week – days can be negotiated based on candidate’s needs)
- Hybrid working arrangements available
- Consideration will be given to applicants in the wider New England/North West region that are able to travel to Armidale at least 1 day per week
Key Duties and Responsibilities:
- Provide guidance and advice on operational human resource functions in accordance with relevant legislation, awards and company policies and procedures.
- Update HR policies and procedures to ensure compliance with relevant legislation and best practices.
- Manage the recruitment process, including job postings, conducting candidate screening and interviews, preparing and issuing employment contracts.
- Coordinate onboarding and offboarding processes.
- Maintenance of the Human Resources Information System (HRIS).
- Support the development and maintenance of human resources management initiatives, including systems for performance management.
About You:
To succeed in this role, you will have:
- Previous experience working in a HR or People and Culture role.
- Demonstrated experience in a range of human resource management functions, with strong administrative skills, accuracy and attention to detail.
- Demonstrated ability to interpret and apply a range of policy procedures and legislation applicable to HR functions (remuneration & benefits, recruitment, employee relations etc.).
- Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills.
- Degree or Diploma in Human Resources or similar would be highly regarded, but not essential.
