Resources Safety and Health Queensland (RSHQ) is the independent regulator of worker safety and health in Queensland's mining, quarrying, petroleum, gas and explosives industries.

The Health Compliance Officer is a regulatory role operating from within RSHQ's Occupational Health (OH) division, and we are looking for a dynamic individual to temporarily join our team.

The Health Compliance Officer is responsible for delivering against a range of occupational health objectives, including the administration and enforcement of health-related obligations under Queensland's resources safety and health legislation. This will include leading compliance initiatives such as inspections, audits and investigations that assess compliance with occupational health regulatory obligations, including the monitoring of medical providers, and the control of psychosocial hazards.

The ideal candidate will possess knowledge and experience in conducting investigations and regulatory compliance activities, including leading inspections, audits, investigations and taking enforcement actions. As well as skills in evidence collection, interviewing, and report writing. Additionally, qualifications, training or experience in government investigations, or occupational health, safety and wellbeing would be highly regarded.
