About the role:
This is a newly created role designed to support a growing business. As an Account Manager, you will be responsible for managing key retail and pharmacy accounts, driving revenue growth, and building strong, strategic relationships.
Reporting to the Head of Sales, you will play a pivotal role in expanding market share, executing commercial strategies, and delivering outstanding customer experiences.
This role requires a balance of relationship management, commercial acumen, and data-driven decision-making. You will oversee key accounts such as Big W, Reject Shop and Best and Less, and other banner groups, with the goal of maximizing profitable sales opportunities and ensuring sustained business growth.
Key Responsibilities:
• Build and maintain long-term relationships with major pharmacy and retail partners, unlocking current and future business opportunities.
• Develop and implement joint business plans with key accounts, identifying risks, forecasting sales, and seizing growth opportunities.
• Identify and capitalize on new opportunities within the pharmacy and retail channels to expand market presence.
• Analyze data, market trends, and sales performance, providing insights to optimize product delivery and drive revenue growth.
• Lead high level negotiations with key clients to establish and nurture
• Forecast, budget, and track account revenues and costs, ensuring trade spend is effectively managed for sustainable growth.
• Plan and execute promotional sales strategies tailored to meet specific retailer needs and market trends.
About you:

• Proven experience (3+ years) in accounts management and business development preferably within the pharmacy and FMCG sectors
• Existing industry relationships with key pharmacies retailers and banner groups is highly desirable.
• Commercial mindset with strong analytical skills
• Strong sales, communication and negotiation skills with a track record of building strategic partnerships.
• Thrives in a fast paced environment and takes ownership of business outcomes with a proactive approach
• Tech savvy; proficient in Excel, PowerPoint and CRM tools
