Bookings OfficerThe primary responsibility of the Bookings Officer involves meticulous attention to detail, ensuring the accurate allocation of trades and the reconciliation of accounts to support seamless and compliant operations. In this pivotal role, the successful candidate will be responsible for processing and managing the allocation and booking of stock trades for advisers, ensuring full compliance with ASX regulations and internal company policies.
Key Responsibilities:
- Accurately process and confirm client trades, ensuring compliance with ASX regulations.
- Reconcile and balance suspense accounts daily, identifying and resolving discrepancies between transactions, trades, and balances.
- Communicate with advisers, brokers, and internal teams to resolve any trade-related issues or discrepancies.
- Adhere to regulatory requirements, ensuring all trades and activities comply with ASX rules, company policies, and industry standards.
- Maintain accurate records of all trades and related correspondence in accordance with legal and regulatory requirements.
- Generate daily, weekly, and monthly reports on trading activity and outstanding transactions for management review.
- Use trading platforms and internal systems to enter, update, and track client orders and trades.
- Provide exceptional service, ensuring advisers are kept informed and up to date on their trades and settlement.
- Proficiency in using trading platforms, ASX systems, and Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, Outlook). Knowledge of financial software or settlement systems is a plus.
- In-depth understanding of Clearing, Settlements, and Custody Cycle.
- Strong work ethic, with the ability to manage time effectively and prioritize tasks.
- Ability to work under pressure, especially during peak trading hours.
- Adviser-focused attitude with a proactive approach to problem-solving.
- Integrity and professionalism in all interactions with clients and colleagues.
- High-level written and verbal communication skills.
- Strong computer literacy.
