With a growing presence in the market, they are seeking an experienced Transport Coordinator / Fleet Allocator to join their Allocations Team. This full-time position offers a competitive salary and the chance to play a vital role in a dynamic and fast-paced environment.About the RoleThe Transport Coordinator / Fleet Allocator is responsible for managing the scheduling, allocation, and coordination of transportation resources. Reporting directly to the Allocations Manager and Director, this role involves close collaboration with drivers, clients, and the operations team to ensure efficient and timely delivery of goods while optimizing routes and resources.
Key ResponsibilitiesCoordinating the allocation of drivers and vehicles for scheduled deliveries.Monitoring transport operations and resolving any issues or delays promptly.Maintaining and updating transport schedules while communicating changes effectively.Ensuring compliance with health and safety regulations, company policies, and customer requirements.Managing driver schedules to ensure efficient resource use and adherence to rest period regulations.Providing clear instructions and support to drivers.Liaising with customers to provide updates and resolve transport-related concerns.
About YouThe ideal candidate will have a strong background in road transport allocations, particularly in Air and Sea Freight, along with excellent customer service skills. This role requires someone who thrives in a fast-paced environment, demonstrates exceptional attention to detail, and has a proactive approach to problem-solving.
Skills & Experience Required:Proven experience in fleet management or transport allocations within Air and Sea Freight.Previous experience in customer service or client-facing roles.Strong communication skills with the ability to build relationships with customers and team members.
