We are looking for a skilled Sales and Costing Analyst to join our team in a thriving and rewarding organisation .
The Sales and Costing Analyst plays a critical role in optimising revenue streams, analysing sales performance, and providing in-depth costing insights to support operational and strategic decision-making. This role focuses on aligning pricing, cost management, and customer needs with organisational profitability goals while addressing the complexities of a national logistics network.
About the Role:
The successful candidate will perform duties including but not limited to:
- Monitor and evaluate sales performance, generating detailed reports on revenue volumes and profit margins.
- Analyse customer contracts and freight volumes to optimise sales strategies and identify efficiency gaps.
- Conduct costing reviews for transport operations, identifying cost variances and recommending improvements
- Maintain and update accurate costing models, assessing the impact of market conditions
- Develop and refine pricing strategies, balancing competitiveness with profitability goals.
- Perform profitability analysis for major customers and support tender submissions
- Prepare and present data driven insights and recommendations to senior management
- Enhance reporting systems and ensure timely, accurate information for stakeholders
- Analyse market trends and competitor activity to inform sales and costing strategies.
- Identify inefficiencies in transport operations and propose cost-saving measures.
About You:
- Have a bachelor’s degree in Finance, Business Administration, Logistics, Economics, or a related field.
- 3–5 years of experience in sales analysis, costing, or a related role, preferably in transport and logistics.
- Experience with using transport management systems (TMS) or enterprise resource planning (ERP) tools (e.g., SAP, Oracle, or equivalent).
- Have advanced Excel skills and experience with data visualisation tools (e.g Tableau, Power Bi)
- Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
- Excellent communication skills (both verbal and written).
