About the role

We are looking for a part-time Activities Officer's to empower and engage with our Residents to maximise their participation in Leisure and Lifestyle programs based in our Darlington home in Banora Point.

Our focus for residents is what best suits their individual needs and wants, our Activities officers facilitate this through:

  • Participation in the development, implementation and assessment of therapeutic plans
  • Supporting residents to engage in their leisure and lifestyle choices and activities
  • Supporting staff and volunteers in provision of leisure and lifestyle programs

To be successful, you'll need

  • Cert IV in Leisure and Health or Cert III in Aged Care (essential)
  • Previous experience in Aged Care
  • Experience working with memory support (dementia) highly desirable
  • Availability and reliability to commit to the required shifts
  • Complete a police check
  • NDIS Worker Check (valid within the last 5 years)
  • Working rights in Australia (Passport, Birth Certificate etc.)
  • Energetic and effective communicator
  • Evidence of Covid-19 vaccination
  • Flu Vaccinations (or willingness to obtain)
