Astute Financial Management is a leading financial services company based at Toowong in QLD. We've been operating for over 20 years and are well respected in the financial services industry. We support over 600 mortgage advisers, insurance brokers and financial planners throughout Australia and New Zealand.

Due to growth, we require a person willing to be trained as an Administration Officer in a full-time capacity. We are seeking an energetic person who has an aptitude for following a process and general administration.

This busy position is both challenging and rewarding and will suit a self-motivated individual willing to learn and contribute to our team culture. This role is an entry level position and would suit school leavers, graduates and those with a passion for administration. Extensive on the job training will be provided in the first 6 months. The role is in-office during business hours Monday to Friday.

To be successful in this role you will need to demonstrate the following:

  • Hands-on skill with PC computer applications including all Microsoft Office programs and Internet (specifically Outlook, Word & Excel)
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Very high attention to detail
  • Strong organisational and time management skills
  • High self-motivation and dedication
  • Demonstrated experience using multiple IT Platforms
  • Excellent knowledge retention
  • Strong customer service skills
  • Ability to work to deadlines
  • Able to work as part of a team, but also autonomously
  • Professional manner and presentation

Your responsibilities will grow over time to include:

  • Following processes and checklists to obtain all necessary documents and information to onboard new members to our business.
  • Checking applications and documents and updating databases
  • The accurate completion of templated legal agreements
  • Preparing documents for new members to give to third parties and follow up to ensure processed efficiently
  • Email and phone correspondence with members and third parties
  • Proactively follow up licenses and certificates that are due to expire
  • Complete regular internal audits to ensure currency of all information held in our systems
  • Any other duties as directed
