About Us Grand Star Receptions in Altona North is one of Melbourne's most iconic and longstanding event venues. We host a variety of events, from intimate gatherings of 100 guests to large-scale celebrations of up to 2,000 guests—including weddings, birthdays, school functions, and corporate events.
We’re looking for an experienced Food & Beverage Event Manager to join our growing Operations team.

Your Role
As our Event Manager , you will:
Have flexible availability, including midweek and weekend evenings, based on our events calendar
Assist in the seamless execution of events, overseeing Food & Beverage staff and liaising with the kitchen and operations team
Deliver exceptional customer service, communicating effectively with event organisers and guests
Be proactive, reliable, and quick-thinking, with excellent attention to detail
Lead, mentor, and motivate a dynamic team of Food & Beverage event staff Bring fresh ideas to improve operations—we value your input!
Oversee event setup, including supplier bump-in and bump-out
What We’re Looking For
✔ Previous experience in a similar role or extensive operational experience ready for a leadership step-up
✔ Strong leadership skills and confidence in decision-making
✔ Ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment and work closely with chefs and event teams to deliver a 5-star experience
