Administration Support Officer - Self Assistance Employment ProgramThis is a full-time position based in Newcastle
The Self Assistance Employment (SEA) program provides support to people interested in starting their own business or who need help to refocus an existing small business. The Self-Employment Assistance Program is a free Australian Government initiative and is funded by the Department of Employment and Workplace Relations.
About the Role...
This role will require you to:
- Ensure applications are lodged to the Departments IT system within required timeframes.
- Ensure quarterly reports are distributed and submitted before deadlines.
- Participate in Program audits.
- Sample monthly activities to ensure facilitator compliance.
- Contribute to the development of workflows that outline process and procedure to ensure successful delivery of Self Employment Assistance Program
- Participate and prepare resources, documents, and information for internal and external audits.
- Report and record continuous improvement items
To be successful in this exciting and rewarding role you will have the following skills and experience:
- Demonstrated strong administration experience with a high attention to detail
- Understanding of the business environment in which the SEA program operates
- Experience working in a compliance driven environment (policies, processes, systems and programs)
- Experience of compliance improvements through auditing
- Have an understanding of the education and training environment
- Experience navigating Government and 3rd party software programs
- Some knowledge of legislative requirements regarding small business operation
- Excellent all-round communication skills including interpersonal, verbal and written.
- Have a current Drivers Licence and willingness to travel on occasion
