About the opportunity:
Position: Patient Service Officer
Vacancy: Permanent full-time
Location: Child Health Services, Kirwan Health Campus
The role works collaboratively as a member of the Child Health team and provides quality support to deliver a high standard of organisational and family-focused outcomes. This role contributes to creating an exceptional place to work by consistently aligning workplace behaviours to organisational values.

- Salary range: $76,963 to $85,591 p.a. (AO3)
- 4 to 6 weeks annual leave with 14%-17.5% loading
- 12.75% employer contribution to superannuation
- Plus Salary Sacrificing options may be available

Requirements:
- Advanced customer service experience relevant to the public health setting including the demonstration of patience, understanding, confidentiality and a positive approach that includes the ability to deescalate difficult situations.
- High level written, verbal and interpersonal skills to effectively liaise with internal and external customers and stakeholders at various levels.
- Knowledge and understanding of the relevance and application of values-based workplace behaviours and attributes.
- Have high-level accuracy for data entry. Focus on “getting it right the first time”. Ability to review own work and make relevant amendments, saving rework.
- Provide a high degree of initiative, decision making ability and negotiating skills required to resolve issues in a busy day to day environment together with reliability in meeting deadlines and commitments.
- This is a Vaccine Preventable Disease (VPD) risk role.
- Probation period may apply.
