Job Summary:
As a Café Supervisor, you will play a pivotal role in ensuring the smooth and efficient operation of our café. Your responsibilities will include overseeing day-to-day activities, managing staff, maintaining quality standards, stock ordering and providing exceptional customer service. The ideal candidate will have strong leadership skills, excellent organizational abilities, and a passion for delivering an outstanding café experience.
Responsibilities:
Team Leadership:
- Supervise and motivate café staff, ensuring they adhere to company policies and procedures.
- Schedule and coordinate work shifts, break times, and vacations to maintain optimal staffing levels.
- Conduct regular staff meetings to communicate updates, address concerns, and foster a positive work environment.
Customer Service:
- Lead by example in providing exceptional customer service.
- Handle customer inquiries, feedback, and complaints in a professional and timely manner.
- Ensure a welcoming and friendly atmosphere for customers.
Operations Management:
- Oversee daily operations, including opening and closing procedures, inventory management, and cash handling.
- Monitor and maintain cleanliness and hygiene standards in the café.
- Collaborate with vendors to ensure the timely supply of quality ingredients and materials.
Quality Control:
- Implement and maintain high-quality standards for food and beverage preparation.
- Conduct regular inspections of food presentation, ensuring consistency and adherence to brand guidelines.
- Monitor and maintain equipment to ensure functionality and safety.
Training and Development:
- Train new staff on company policies, procedures, and customer service standards.
- Provide ongoing coaching and support to enhance staff performance and professional development.
Qualifications:
- Previous 2 years experience in a supervisory or managerial role within the food and beverage industry.
- Strong leadership and interpersonal skills.
- Excellent communication and customer service abilities.
- Knowledge of health and safety regulations and food safety standards.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and handle stressful situations effectively.
