Kurrawa Surf Club are currently seeking an enthusiastic, experienced and highly motivated Cafe Supervisor to join our team.

Kurrawa Surf Club is a Community Club located on the beach in the heart of Broadbeach. Employing over 100+ staff, the club has a 550-seat bistro, bar, café, function centre, and gaming facilities, our unique location on one of the most beautiful beaches in the world, enables Kurrawa Surf Club to stand apart of the rest.
About the position...
Our T-28 Café Supervisor is responsible for overseeing the daily operations of the T-28 Café, ensuring exceptional customer service, efficient workflow, and a high-quality food and beverage experience. This role is hands on and requires strong leadership to manage and support a team of baristas, cashiers, and floor runners , maintaining a positive and productive workplace.
Key Responsibilities
- Supervise the daily operations of the café, ensuring smooth and efficient service.
- Maintain high standards in coffee preparation, food presentation, and customer service.
- Oversee opening and closing procedures, including cash handling and end-of-day reconciliation.
- Monitor stock levels, manage inventory, and coordinate ordering with suppliers.
- Ensure compliance with food safety, hygiene, and workplace health and safety regulations.
- Lead, motivate, and support a team of baristas, cashiers, and floor runners.
- Provide on-the-job training and development to improve staff skills and efficiency.
- Foster a positive, team-oriented culture that encourages high performance and support.
- Manage staff rosters, ensuring adequate coverage and efficient scheduling.
- Deliver a high standard of customer service, ensuring a welcoming and friendly atmosphere.
- Handle customer inquiries, complaints, and feedback professionally and effectively.
- Implement initiatives to enhance the customer experience and drive repeat business.
Who are you?
- Previous experience in a leadership or supervisory role in a café or hospitality environment.
- Strong barista skills
- Excellent leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and multitask effectively.
- Experience with POS systems, cash handling, and stock management.
- Availability to work flexible hours, including weekends and public holidays.
- A hands-on leader who leads by example.
- Passionate about customer service and hospitality.
- Organized, detail-oriented, and proactive in problem-solving.
- A team player with a positive and approachable attitude.
