Killarney Memorial Aged Care trading as ‘K-Life’ is seeking an experienced and proactive Chief Financial Officer (CFO) to lead our Corporate Services team. This is a newly created role offering a unique opportunity to shape financial strategy, improve efficiencies, and enhance financial governance across our not-for-profit, community-owned health and wellbeing organisation.
Reporting directly to the Chief Executive Officer, you will lead Finance, IT, Payroll, and People & Culture, ensuring financial sustainability while driving operational efficiency.

Key Responsibilities
- Develop and implement financial systems, internal controls, and risk frameworks to support operational efficiency.
- Prepare and present monthly, quarterly, and annual reports to management and the Board, including profit and loss statements, balance sheets, and cash flow reports.
- Manage audit engagements and reporting obligations, ensuring compliance with financial regulations, ATO, ACNC, Aged Care Quality and Safety Commission (ACFR, QFR), WGEA, etc.
- Provide strategic financial insights to the line managers, CEO, and the Board to improve business efficiencies and revenue diversification.
- Oversee the General Ledger and ensure data integrity, including monthly Balance Sheet and sub-ledger reconciliations.
- Identify, implement, and refine financial systems, policies, and compliance processes.
- Support the CEO in diversifying funding sources and revenue streams.
- Lead and mentor the Corporate Services team, including IT, Payroll, and People & Culture, ensuring high-performance outcomes.
What you’ll bring to the team
To be considered for this role, you must have the commitment and energy to work within and lead a diverse team.
✔ CPA, CA, or equivalent certification.
✔ 3+ years’ experience in a senior financial leadership role.
✔ Strong analytical, strategic, and problem-solving skills.
✔ Experience in financial governance, financial risk management, and compliance.
✔ Proven ability to lead teams, drive efficiency, and implement financial systems.
✔ Exceptional stakeholder engagement and communication skills.
✔ Experience in aged care, healthcare, or not-for-profit sectors (highly regarded).
