LinQ Resources have partnered with a leading WA business as they look to welcome a HSEQ Coordinator to their team in a permanent capacity. This fantastic opportunity is available for an immediate start (or with notice).The Role:
As the HSEQ Coordinator, you will be a key player in maintaining and improving the safety and environmental standards within the organisation. Working with the broader HSEQ team to provide a balance of onsite project and office work, you’ll discover the excitement and challenge of working in a largely autonomous role to support teams across the range of projects they deliver.
Your responsibilities will include:
- QHSE Management: Lead the continuous improvement of QHSE systems, policies, and communication strategies.
- Safety Compliance: Ensure adherence to workplace health and safety legislation, codes of practice, and industry standards.
- Hazard Identification & Risk Assessment: Conduct proactive workplace inspections, identifying hazards and unsafe practices. Perform quantitative and qualitative risk assessments and monitor risk controls.
- Training & Development: Coordinate and promote QHSE training, safety reminders, and tips for all employees, including frontline workers and first-line managers.
- Policy & Documentation Management: Assist in developing, implementing, and reviewing QHSE policies, procedures, and documentation. Maintain records such as First Aid registers, inspections, and incident reports.
- Stakeholder Collaboration: Work closely with operational management and teams to provide QHSE support in risk assessments, incident investigations, and other safety initiatives.
- Knowledge and experience of IMS management requirements for meeting and maintaining ISO 9001, 14001, and 45001 accreditations.
- Audit & Reporting: Participate in safety and environmental audits, compile reports, and track leading indicators.
- Environmental & Regulatory Compliance: Ensure compliance with environmental regulations.
The skills and experience you bring to this opportunity:
- Experience: At least 3 years in a QHSE role with experience in health and safety management, workplace inspections, and risk assessment.
- Certifications: Cert IV in Workplace Health and Safety (or equivalent).
- Legislation Knowledge: Strong understanding of WHS legislation, codes of practice, and safety standards.
- Communication Skills: Excellent written and verbal communication skills to engage with employees at all levels.
- Tech Proficiency: Proficiency in Microsoft Office and relevant HSEQ platforms.
- ICAM accreditation and Auditing experience (Internal /External) highly regarded.
- Organizational Skills: Exceptional attention to detail, time management, and organizational skills.
- Collaboration: Ability to work both independently and as part of a team to drive safety culture and ensure effective implementation of QHSE initiatives.
