Based in East Perth, with regular travel to regional WA

Central Desert Group works in partnership with Aboriginal Corporations as they shape a self-determined future of independence, control and connection to Country, Culture and Community.

Central Desert Group provides a range of services focussed on supporting Aboriginal Corporations. The range of services includes legal, heritage, governance, GIS and land management.

We are seeking Governance Officers to join our Client Services team. The role will provide high level administrative support to assigned Aboriginal Corporation clients, including preparation of agendas, minute-taking, compilations of resolutions and actions items.

The role is based in our East Perth Office with regular travel to regional locations in WA.

To be considered for this position, the following criteria is desirable:

1. You will be an experienced and confident administrator.

2. Experience or interest in working directly with Aboriginal people, and with a high level of cultural competence.

3. Excellent oral and written communications, presentation, and organisational skills.

4. Experience in minute taking and related meeting functions.

5. Strong initiative and problem-solving ability.

6. Strong experience in using Microsoft Office Suite, including Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Teams.

7. Demonstrated commitment to customer service excellence and continuous improvement.

8. An ability to regularly travel to regional areas for short periods to provide administrative services in support of client corporation meetings.

9. Current and unrestricted driver’s licence.
