ABOUT THE ROLE
The IT Manager oversees all aspects of the organisation’s IT infrastructure, including hardware, software, networks, and security systems. This role is responsible for managing an outsourced team of IT professionals, ensuring the smooth operation of IT systems, and implementing IT strategies aligned with business objectives. The IT Manager also plays a key role in planning for future technology needs and providing technical support and guidance across the organisation.
Responsibilities:
- Manage outsourced IT service
- Cyber insurance management and compliance
- Oversee the installation, maintenance, and upgrade of hardware and software systems
- Ensure the reliability and security of IT infrastructure, including networks and servers
- Develop and implement IT strategies and initiatives that support organisational objectives
- Forecast technology needs and recommend upgrades or improvements for operational efficiencies
- Implement and monitor IT security measures to protect company data and systems
- Ensure compliance with regulatory requirements and industry standards (e.g., GDPR, HIPAA)
- Prepare and manage the IT department budget, including procurement and cost control
- Evaluate and recommend IT solutions and vendors based on cost-effectiveness and quality
- Provide technical support and guidance to users, resolving complex issues as needed
- Oversee help desk operations and ensure timely resolution of IT support tickets
- Communicate IT initiatives and project updates to stakeholders and senior management
- Set up user accounts, configure hardware/software, and train new hires
- Maintain IT systems, update software, manage user access, and provide support
- Manage technology onboarding and offboarding processes
- Install and configure hardware, software, and networks
- IScope and iplement IT projects and ensure security
- Maintain an up-to-date record of all IT assets
- Track the allocation, usage, and lifecycle of IT equipment
- Ensure accurate documentation for asset acquisition, deployment, and disposal
- Database management including ODBC, API, and SQL capability
ABOUT YOU
- Bachelor's degree in computer science or related field
- At least 5 years of experience in IT management
- Strong technical skills in infrastructure, security, and networking
- Excellent communication skills and ability to work with technical and non-technical stakeholders
- Strong leadership and project management skills
- Knowledge of relevant regulations and industry standardsExperienced professional
