The key duties of the position include
The Role
As the AWC Quality Manager (QM) you will lead a small team to develop, implement and coordinate assurance activities which maintain the Group's Quality Management System. This role is a focal point for the broader AWC quality assurance program, including oversight of compliance with airworthiness regulations, management of quality documentation and the quality audit program. You will hold a Defence Aviation Safety Regulation Form 4 delegation and perform the role of Chief of Independent System Monitoring (CISM), identifying any issues or deficiencies, which you report to the AWC Head of Design. As a part of the AWC Continuing Airworthiness Management Organization, you will ensure compliance with approved standards and processes.

Our Ideal Candidate
You will have the qualifications, knowledge and experience to develop, implement and refine Quality Management frameworks in a large and diverse organization. You will understand and have experience in applying compliance programs and continuous improvement principles within an organisation's Quality Management System. You will ideally have knowledge of Aviation Safety Regulations and aviation experience, or other technical experience that can be applied to the aviation environment.
You will be an experienced leader with good communication skills, capable of engaging and influencing stakeholders to achieve positive outcomes. You will also be capable of providing high quality advice to military executives, other Directors and staff. Importantly, you will be able to achieve and maintain a security clearance that enables you to handle classified information.
