Job Opportunity: Casual & Full-Time Trainer Positions – Whitsunday Maritime Training Centre
The Whitsunday Maritime Training Centre is currently seeking both Casual and Full-Time Trainers to join our dedicated team. This is a fantastic opportunity for qualified professionals with a passion for teaching and a background in the maritime industry to make a significant impact in a dynamic and growing training environment.
Key Responsibilities:
- Delivering high-quality training in accordance with established maritime training programs.
- Providing students with industry-relevant knowledge and practical skills that align with current maritime standards.
- Ensuring compliance with relevant maritime legislation and regulations.
- Assisting with the development and continuous improvement of training materials and resources.
- Contributing to the smooth operation and delivery of training services within a professional and supportive environment.
Required Qualifications & Experience:
- Minimum of Coxswain Grade 1 certification. Preference will be given to candidates with a Master <24 metres or MED 3 (or above) qualification.
- Certificate IV in Training and Assessment (TAE40116/40122) or equivalent.
- Demonstrated current industry knowledge and experience, including an understanding of maritime legislation and Marine Orders.
- Possession of, or ability to obtain, a current Blue Card (for working with children).
- Current First Aid and CPR certification.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to engage and inspire students.
- ABN holders are also encouraged to apply.
