The role of the Senior Resource Officer is to facilitate the organisation, operation and development of targeted and efficient referral, engagement and intervention processes which focus on improving service delivery outcomes with particular focus on improving service to Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander people and communities.As Senior Resource Officer, You Will Specifically
- Demonstrate cultural capability and/or a commitment to developing cultural capability to ensure an inclusive culture that aligns with the Human Rights Act 2019 and supports departmental programs and community partnerships aimed at preserving cultural connections for Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander peoples.
- Provide information regarding resources and advice to staff in relation to the delivery of client services with particular focus on enhancing Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander service delivery.
- Participate as a member of the management team and contribute to strategic and operational planning, reviews and key decision-making including progressing identified project responses and initiatives to ensure consistent, high quality and enhances service delivery.
- Develop collaborative, professional relationships with relevant Government and non-Government agencies to facilitate appropriate referral processes and holistic service delivery.
- Assist in identifying trends and issues in client service delivery and evaluating client outcomes, including performance reporting, to ensure coordinated local service delivery.
- Actively participate in and contribute to the good governance and objectives of the directorate and department.
- Contribute to a departmental culture that ensures sensitive and effective communication with people from Aboriginal and/or Torres Strait Islander
