Description:

The Furniture, Fixtures and Equipment (FFE) SP Project is seeking a Senior Procurement Officer. The Senior Procurement Officer will lead and implement FFE procurement and sourcing approaches that support the delivery of best practice procurement outcomes and value for money.

The successful candidate will ensure standard procurement processes that comply with Queensland Health and Queensland Government governance requirements are adhered to and identify any opportunities to improve those processes.

The essential requirements for this role are:

  • Demonstrated well-developed problem solving and organisational ability, with demonstrated capacity to work autonomously in the achievement of project deliverables and proven ability to adopt innovative solutions to business problems.
  • Communicates confidently in a clear, concise and articulate manner. Listens and seeks to understand the audience to have the best impact on the audience and avoid misunderstanding. Participates in constructive negotiations on how to achieve the best outcomes.
  • Routinely collaborates with stakeholders to develop effective working relationships and partnerships to drive positive outcomes.
  • Demonstrable experience in supporting the development and implementation of procurement projects and associated procurement and sourcing initiatives and plans that deliver measurable increases in value for money.
  • Demonstrated experience implementing contract and supplier management strategies and techniques, including strong negotiation skills; ability to tender evaluation processes (leading to contract award for complex tenders) and ability to manage resolve supplier performance issues to ensure procured value is fully delivered.
