This includes painting surfaces such as bridges, fencing, water fountains and other vital structures- ensuring that all work meets industry standards for durability and quality. You will be working in various outdoor environments, working around the public so professional commitment is always required.
Key Responsibilities:
- Prepare surfaces for painting, including cleaning, sanding, and priming.
- Apply paint to a wide range of public infrastructure, such as bridges, street furniture, and buildings.
- Ensure that all work adheres to safety standards and local regulations.
- Collaborate with project managers and other team members to complete projects on time and to a high standard.
- Maintain and operate painting equipment safely and efficiently.
- Perform touch-ups and minor repairs to painted surfaces as necessary.
- Proven experience as a painter in a civil, maintenance, or construction environment.
- Ability to work on both large-scale public infrastructure projects and smaller repairs/restorations.
- Familiarity with various painting techniques, tools, and materials.
- Knowledge of safety standards and protocols related to working in public and outdoor spaces.
- Strong attention to detail and quality craftsmanship.
- Physical stamina and the ability to work in varying weather conditions.
- Excellent teamwork skills and a positive attitude.
- Experience working with specialised coatings or industrial-grade paints.
- Knowledge of infrastructure restoration techniques.
