You will:
- Manage, monitor and maintain the effective day to day operation of the organisation's state-wide data communications network.
- Investigate and provide technical solutions to escalated calls from Helpdesk Support Officers.
- Implement, maintain, and support communication and server related software and hardware infrastructure in the network.
- Manage the upgrade of servers including maintenance of hardware and software.
- Provide recommendations and advice relating to server infrastructure capacity planning.
- Provide advice and solutions to enhance performance and productivity of existing LAQ network hardware, software and communication infrastructure.
- Evaluate and test new hardware and software proposals, including emerging technologies to ensure compatibility and integration with existing network operating systems.
- Provide expert advice and recommendations based on continued research on a range of network and infrastructure issues.
- Be familiar with processes for Change Requests and client Incident/Request ownership through to resolution.
- Provide mentoring and training assistance to helpdesk support officers.
- Actively participate in team planning and comply with all corporate responsibilities.
- Maintain a high standard of practice through governance and risk management.
- Model the values of respect, quality and accountability.
