4 day week, Monday to Thursday 6:00am – 4:00pm with an established and growing manufacturing company.
Role Overview:
Reporting to the Leading Hand and Production Manager, this hands-on role involves you to be part of a team of 6+ staff in the day-to-day onsite manufacturing activities. We are looking for a reliable team member for our packing end. This role is fast paced. We are looking for someone who is multi skilled and can be diverse in other areas of production as required. This casual position will be reviewed for full time employment after 6 months.
What will the day look like!
- Packing products & palletising finished goods.
- Follow instructions and procedures, keeping to schedules and deadlines.
- Cleaning of production room and general factory cleaning.
- Operating food processing machinery e.g. Mincer, Pre-Breaker, Multivac packaging machine, Metal detector, Ink jet printer.
- Ad hoc tasks as directed by Leading Hand or Production Manager
About You…
- Ability to work in a high pressure, fast-paced factory environment.
- Great communication skills; reading writing, comprehension.
- Ability to communicate effectively within the team.
- High attention to detail across all areas.
- Safety focused with general knowledge of WHS policies and procedures.
- Problem Solving.
- Can do attitude, reliability, commitment and strong work ethic.
- Able to work in a cold environment.
- Packing or palletising experience - preferred, but not essential.
- Cert 2 in Food Safety - preferred, but not essential.
