Qualifications and Experience:

  • Bachelor's or Master's degree in Speech Pathology.
  • Current registration with Speech Pathology Australia (SPA).
  • Demonstrate experience and willingness to work across the lifespan.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work independently and manage a caseload effectively.
  • Valid driver's license for travel between client locations.
  • Commitment to delivering high-quality, client-centred care.

Tasks & Responsibilities:

  • Conduct comprehensive assessments of clients' communication and swallowing abilities in their home environments.
  • Develop individualised treatment plans based on assessment findings and client goals.
  • Provide evidence-based therapy interventions to improve clients' communication and swallowing skills.
  • Collaborate with clients, families, and other healthcare professionals to achieve optimal outcomes.
  • Maintain accurate and up-to-date clinical records and documentations.
  • Stay informed about current research and best practices in Speech Pathology.
  • Participate in regular team meetings and professional development activities.
  • Demonstrate knowledge and practical ability in navigating different funding models such as NDIS, My Aged Care, Workcover, Medicare, DVA, and Private Insurance.
  • Deliver and engage in business and service development opportunities to improve the Speech Pathology service.
