Qualifications and Experience:
- Bachelor's or Master's degree in Speech Pathology.
- Current registration with Speech Pathology Australia (SPA).
- Demonstrate experience and willingness to work across the lifespan.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work independently and manage a caseload effectively.
- Valid driver's license for travel between client locations.
- Commitment to delivering high-quality, client-centred care.
Tasks & Responsibilities:
- Conduct comprehensive assessments of clients' communication and swallowing abilities in their home environments.
- Develop individualised treatment plans based on assessment findings and client goals.
- Provide evidence-based therapy interventions to improve clients' communication and swallowing skills.
- Collaborate with clients, families, and other healthcare professionals to achieve optimal outcomes.
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date clinical records and documentations.
- Stay informed about current research and best practices in Speech Pathology.
- Participate in regular team meetings and professional development activities.
- Demonstrate knowledge and practical ability in navigating different funding models such as NDIS, My Aged Care, Workcover, Medicare, DVA, and Private Insurance.
- Deliver and engage in business and service development opportunities to improve the Speech Pathology service.
