Strategic Shipbuilding Agreement (SSA)

We are on our path towards becoming the Commonwealth’s "Strategic Shipbuilder" in the West, aiming to be in contract for the Strategic Shipbuilding Agreement (SSA). Join us for this exciting opportunity to be a part of continuous naval shipbuilding, contributing to significant long-term work for the Australian Defence Force.
The SSA will establish an overarching program which enables the design and build of vessels at the Henderson Shipyard. The objective of the SSA is to develop the capacity and capability to initially deliver Landing Craft Medium & Heavy for the Australian Army.
The SSA is about establishing the capability within the Henderson Precinct, and the State of Western Australia, to continuously build vessels for the Commonwealth. It will be led by Austal, and will require the engagement of local industry, supply chain and workforce to be successful.

About the Opportunity
The Performance Business Analyst is a key position within the Project Management team, ‘delivering together’. You’ll be tasked to:
- Develop and maintain the process maps and dataflow diagrams.
- Conduct in depth investigation of how data and information flow within the SSA and develop dataflow diagrams.
- Automate the reporting process to capture KPIs and performance measures.
- Design, construct and create thorough models in Power BI, Tableu or other business intelligence tools according to business requirements.
- Work with a continuous improvement mindset.
- Work with functional leaders to identify benefits and cost saving initiatives.
Skills and Experience
- Relevant tertiary qualification in business, engineering, IT or data science
- Minimum 12+months of relevant business analysis experience, specifically in data modelling
- Competent using Power BI, Tableau, and other business intelligence tools, advance user of Excel with a working knowledge of Power Query.
- Knowledge in business process automation and IT system implementation (desirable)
- Knowledge of JIRA, DevOps, IFS, SAP, Oracle, and other ERPS (desirable)
Security Clearance roles only: Due to the Security Clearance required for this position, applicants must be an Australian Citizen and eligible to obtain and uphold a Baseline Security Clearance through the Australian Department of Defence.
