About the Team:
The Business Assurance and Operations team plays a key role in the Water Infrastructure and Operations (WIO) branch by providing finance, human resources, project assurance and general business advice and operations that facilitates the delivery of significant programs and projects across the State.
About the Role:
Challenge yourself and extend your existing skills in this role, which will see you performing a diverse range of tasks in the provision of finance support, administration and oversight of branch budgets.
Your success in the role, relies on your interpersonal skills and being able to successfully develop genuine, strong networks and relationships that results in a partnered approach to budget management and oversight.
Your finances skills and experience will be well developed and your ability to be solutions focused, collaborative and enthusiastic will ensure you are the right fit for our team!
What a day in the role looks like…..
- Collaborating with project staff to review budget information and maintain joint oversight of branch budgets.
- Contributing to the development, review, and oversight of the finance information in project documentation including
- briefings, agreements, workplans and progress reporting.
- Thoroughly analysing, reconciling and reporting to ensure the alignment of budgets.
- Identifying financial risks and opportunities, discussing options, giving advice and making recommendations.
- Maintaining system information including journals, budget adjustments, carryovers etc

Contract:
This is a merit pool and successful applicants will be offered positions on a contract basis according to business needs over the next 12 months.
Special Conditions:
- A current National Police Clearance is essential.
- Some out of hours work may be required and a flexible approach to the taking of leave is required, particularly during peak periods.
Remuneration:
ASO5 $85,790 min - $95,413 max p.a.
