About the role: The Consultant, Space Planning & Allocation is part of the Infrastructure & Digital Engagement function. In collaboration with key stakeholders, the Consultant will take a proactive approach to identify and support the design and development of solutions for the use of spaces (workspace, teaching, learning and research spaces) to achieve a more sustainable, efficient and improved University. This role is focused on enhancing the customer experience through a customer-centric approach by integrating physical and digital infrastructure, projects, and services to deliver seamless, impactful solutions tailored to customer needs. The role ensures that improvements align with the division's and university's strategic goals, balancing innovation with long-term objectives.
As the Consultant, Space Planning & Allocation you will: Collaborate with diverse stakeholders to identify inclusive solutions, implement them, and evaluate their effectiveness.Continuously reassess priorities, overcome barriers, monitor progress, and adapt plans to achieve goals effectively.Foster critical thinking, challenge traditional practices, and promote inclusivity by exploring new approaches and leveraging diverse information sources.Build cross-functional collaboration, set a positive example, and motivate others to achieve ethical and inclusive outcomes.Lead inclusive change initiatives, tailor services to customer needs, and promote continuous learning to enhance individual and organisational performance.
To be successful, you’ll have: Postgraduate qualifications or progress towards postgraduate qualifications and extensive relevant experience; or an equivalent combination of relevant experience and/or education/training in Space Planning in a complex environmentExperience working with stakeholders to create space planning solutions, including refurbishments and relocationsProven ability to manage procurement and delivery activities and associated contractor management/supervisionStrong analytical and communication skills, with experience leading teams, making decisions, and mentoring others.
