Description:
The Senior Program Advisor is a critical leadership role for coordinating department wide activity and leading critical reform projects to improve education outcomes for children and young people in care. It sits within the Out-of-Home-Care Policy team in the Wellbeing Health and Engagement Division.Responsibilities include statewide coordination for the LOOKOUT Centres, which are multidisciplinary teams in the department's regional offices who support schools to improve educational engagement for students in out of home care. This role also leads the design and implementation of key reform projects, including managing monitoring and evaluation activities, to support improvements in practice in schools.
Sophisticated stakeholder engagement skills are critical to this role and an understanding of schools and education is an asset, as the Advisor will play a key leadership role in engaging with and supporting the regional LOOKOUT Centre workforces, guiding efforts to improve practice quality and statewide consistency.
