About the Internships at Legrand
We are looking for an intern to join our Methods team based in Prestons. Guided by our Methods Manager, you will:
Develop and implement new software programs for robotic systems in our Injection plastic shop.Collaborate with the team to improve existing robotic functionalities.Participate in testing and debugging robotic programs to ensure reliability and performance.Set up new processes to facilitate the operations and gain productivityReduce the hazards and ergonomics risks to enhance the safety in the industrial environmentDevelop support documentation for newly built applications to allow for future developmentAssist with technical issues related to manufacturing and warehousing processesParticipate in project team; meetings and project communications and manage technical information through Legrand procedures and systems
This is a 4-6 months vocational placement and we are looking for an intern who will be available to join the team and learn for five days per week.
About You
Current student in a degree course studying Manufacturing, Mechatronics, Robotics or a similar disciplineWillingness to learn new concepts and processesEnthusiasm for learning and applying new technologies in robotics.Excellent team involvement, coordination, and communications skillsExcellent communication and organization skills
This internship will teach you many elements and prepare you for your future. If you would like to join us and learn about what is involved in our Methods team, we would love to hear from you. We understand that studying and learning is important and having hands on learning and exposure to a workplace through an internship provides an extra level of knowledge. As part of this internship, we will provide a monthly allowance of $1,650 (net).
