You’re someone who wants to create outcomes that have a real impact on the people of NSW.
This is your opportunity to broaden your experience and perspectives, step out of the confines of a standard policy role and expand your scope to work with an interconnected ecosystem of industry professionals.
In this role, you’ll:
Help drive the NSW Government’s bus regulatory transformation agenda by researching key policy issues, tracking emerging trends, and supporting stakeholder engagement. You'll work closely with senior management to find ways to promote safe and sustainable bus regulation, making sure government objectives are met. It’s a great opportunity to be part of meaningful change in the transport sector.
You will help scope and support stakeholder consultations, ensuring key voices are heard in the engagement process. You'll assist in drafting necessary legislation and play a role in briefing industry stakeholders and Ministerial offices. You'll also support the preparation of Cabinet Submissions and Bill Folders, including drafting speeches. Additionally, you'll contribute to communication materials for stakeholder engagement, helping to keep everyone informed and aligned throughout the process.
Working as part of a brand-new team that is establishing a Bus Regulatory Transformation Program, this is a great opportunity to be part of meaningful change in the transport sector across NSW.

About You
You have a solid track record in shaping and delivering policy reforms, ideally within the transport sector, ensuring they meet legislative requirements and align with government priorities. With a strong understanding of policy development and regulatory reform, you’re familiar with the machinery of government and legislative frameworks. You’re a confident communicator, able to provide clear advice to diverse stakeholders, and you work independently, managing your priorities effectively.
You're eager to contribute, bring fresh ideas, and be part of a supportive, collaborative team. If you're passionate about developing policy and regulatory frameworks that make a real impact, we’d love to hear from you.
