At ING, the Daily Banking Tribe is responsible for driving the end-to-end performance of the Daily Banking business through development of a clear strategy, and working collaboratively with all areas of the business to drive cross functional execution of this strategy.
We're looking for an experienced Product Area Lead / Head of Pricing and Balance Sheet, to join the Daily Banking Tribe leadership team within the Retail Bank for a 5-month secondment. This role will be accountable for the development, execution and management of our Pricing strategy for Daily Banking, optimise segment approach and manage profitability.
What you’ll do
- Lead and execute pricing strategy across new and existing customer segments to support Daily Banking growth, revenue and return objectives, demonstrating exceptional financial acumen
- Drive reduction in portfolio attrition by developing pricing strategies to extend customer tenure and reduce churn, optimising the balance between retained value and cost to retain
- Accurately forecast and manage both near term and long-term revenue and portfolio growth for the Daily Banking business, using business insight to drive profit
- Drive sophistication in our pricing capability through the development of a pricing capability roadmap, and an approach to optimised pricing for customer segments
- Work collaboratively with our data science and customer intelligence team to improve pricing analytics and portfolio insights to support pricing recommendations
- Lead a team of professionals with deep expertise to achieve the growth aspirations of the tribe, whilst developing their careers, and supporting a strong “orange” culture of can-do and collaboration
- Lead agile delivery of continuous improvement in our systems and processes
- Experience in articulating strategy and setting strategic direction with others (including identifying key priorities and initiative sequencing)
- Proven product or pricing management experience (10+ years), and managing a product P&L
- Highly numerate and experienced in managing complex trade-offs to support often competing growth, revenue and return objectives
- Demonstrable experience with sophisticated pricing models, including the development of use cases and a roadmap on implementation of a pricing engine to drive improved portfolio growth, and customer experience
- Proven experience influencing and leading diverse stakeholders (Risk, Operations, Finance)
- An analytical mindset, using data to drive decision making
- Strong and proven people leadership capability – able to build strong and engaged teams, driven by purpose and a passion for customers, with a pace for change
